Within the past couple of days, a man and his daughter were found after being lost at sea. Alan Langdon and daughter Que sailed their boat all the way from New Zealand to Australia, after a storm damaged their boat’s rudder. This means the two let waves travel them 1,200 miles towards what they thought would be an unknown destination. I am sure at some points they felt like they would not make it at all.

The experienced sailor could’ve chosen to sail towards New Zealand, but found it would be smarter and easier to go towards where the wind was naturally taking them. With his exquisite talents, the two were able to make it to shore. These brave souls did their best to make it out alive and because of their efforts, they are an inspiration to us all today.
