Because walking to class is a lot like taking a hike.
There was definitely a time where I wore booties to class. I hiked across campus in these 2 inch heels, and it actually stung. This was part of the freshman year struggle, and getting acquainted to the amount of god-awful walking required for students. I’ve found that knowing what shoes to wear is one of the greatest college fashion tips.
In high school, I totally could have gotten away with these cute booties. But in college, they just will not do.
So with time, and after two years, I’ve been able to see what shoes work on that long walk to class, and what doesn’t work. Check out the shoes below so you can have a smooth walk to class.
Thermal Top | Jeans | Shoes | Backpack
1. White adidas
This shoe is my favorite to walk to class in. They are so cute and go with almost any outfit, whether it be casual or good-ole-athleisure.
2. Riding boots
These are especially good for the fall. This pair is affordable, as well as long-lasting.
3. Birkenstocks
I’m going to admit – I don’t wear birks. But a lot of my friends do, and I’ve noticed that these are so easy for them to slip on before class. These shoes are really darn comfortable as well. I especially love this white pair.
4. Ballet Flats
I wore these everyday for my reporting internship, and we walked a lot. But even so, I never felt my feet hurt in these shoes once. If you have to dress up for a class presentation and need a pair of shoes to wear, these are your winners.
5. Running shoes
When you are really feeling the casual look, I recommend pulling these puppies out. I love this light pink pair to spice up any minimal outfit.
Overall, I hope this post has given you some more clarity on what shoes to wear to class. After all, you want to make sure you start on the right foot.
