FINALLY– the highly anticipated post featuring my NYC apartment reveal! I’m so excited to show you guys how I decorated my first apartment. I’ve shown bits and pieces of my decor on the blog and Instagram, but I needed to get it all into one post for you guys and link up the items so you can shop! Each section is broken out by room, with products linked under it. Also, keep reading until the end, because I have a special Nordstrom gift card giveaway!
My NYC Apartment Tour
Entryway/Dining Area
Something that caught my eye when touring this apartment was the long hallway that leads into the foyer. A lot of NYC apartments just have a door that opens right into the living space or kitchen, and I like how this makes it feel like more of an entrance. My roomie hung up these adorable and fun photos in the hallway entrance!
Because there wasn’t much space for a proper dining table, I found this small one from Ikea. It ended up fitting perfectly, and we can even pull it out and add 4 chairs if needed. Honestly, it’s more of a place to put our bags and keys, but it’s nice to at least have the option to eat here instead of on the couch 🙂 Finally, the pink dining chairs are my favorite! I got such a good deal on them, and all 4 were under $200 total!
Don’t forget the bar cart. This one is great because it fits in my small apartment. I also linked my fav gold one below that I had in college.
Living Room
Our living room is girly and cozy, making it the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine. Obviously, we couldn’t get a huge sectional couch, but this one does the trick! We also added a bench on the side to make it similar to a sectional while adding extra storage. The best part would have to be our marble/gold coffee and side tables. These were the first things I bought for my apartment and I knew that I would just plan out the rest of the room around these. They are also less expensive than you would think! I did a great deal of online shopping to find cheaper prices for the big items 🙂
Bedroom
The best part of the house! Hehe, jk but not really. I love how cozy my bed is and my room is a sanctuary in the NYC craziness. I was so lucky to find an apartment with lots of storage– I basically have a wall of closets! I picked the colors for this room first, but you can tell I also tied them in throughout the apartment. White and gray looks so chic together, and the blush and gold make great accents! I stuck with all white furniture, but I like how my bed frame is cream, so it can be versatile in the future.
Xx,
