I started this blogging dream three years ago in my dorm room my freshman year of college. I spent countless hours Googling how to implement coding and a theme. And frankly – I had no idea what I was doing.
I just knew how big of an impact words, books, and articles had made on my life, and I wanted to provide a place with the kind of words that would impact yours.
That little blog from freshman year grew each year, turning from a side hobby to the thing I ultimately wanted to do for a career.
I had to decide what I wanted to “do” with my life.
I recently graduated from college (yes, IN the global pandemic), and months leading up to graduation, I had to decide what I wanted to “do” with my life. Naturally, I wanted to fit in, and take a conventional route. I never thought I could realistically blog full-time.
I remember talking with someone after church about the fact that I had no idea what I wanted to do after graduation. My friend overheard and said, “What if you pursued your blog?”
I looked at her like she was crazy and said, “I really have NO idea how that could be possible.”
And yet, each job I applied for, didn’t seem to work out. Through all the job rejections, this blog remained. God knew exactly what He was doing, leading me down the path my heart wanted to pursue all along.
I took the leap of making this little dream of mine an actual business.
One day came where I decided to take the leap of faith and go after my dream of making this little blog an online business.
I knew I needed to rebrand if I was going to go all-in with this dream. This blog wasn’t going to be a hobby anymore, it was now going to be my work.
I reached out to the amazing team at Alisabeth Designs, and they graciously made my vision a reality.
I made this investment for YOU, dear reader. Serving you through words, encouragement, and practical tips gives me great joy.
So take a look around this new website and have fun with it! I want this to be a place where you can come in whatever state you’re in and leave encouraged.
