Caroline shares her story of being a survivor, and not a victim, of sexual assault.
Sexual assault is really hard to talk about. And it’s more prevalent than we might think, especially for young women. One-in-five women on college campuses will be assaulted. Additionally, only 20% of female college students report their assault to law enforcement. Clearly, there’s a huge issue at hand, and many women don’t feel comfortable enough to talk about it. It is time that this changes.
On the show today, Caroline shares her story of surviving assault. She also shares what she learned about herself and God because of such a traumatic event. Caroline is strong and brave for talking about such a hard subject, and I’m so grateful you get to hear her words of wisdom.
On the show today, she touches on the topics below:
- Her story of healing from assault
- How you’re a survivor, not a victim
- The essentials to recovering from sexual assault
- How every story matters
Caroline is strong and brave. I am so blessed to have met her through my sorority this past year. She provides helpful advice for anyone going through this trauma, and how to find healing. She is an advocate for those who have been forgotten about or marginalized for who they are. And she believes that every story matters.
